Time for Something New

As always, time has flown by — the days blend together, and some mornings I have to remind myself what day it is and what needs to be done.
This autumn, we’ve created what I’d call a real warehouse. Shelving from floor to ceiling, rows of boxes filled with rugs — and a brand-new friend: Henke.

Henke is my forklift — a true gem that runs on electricity, strong as a bear, and able to reach over four meters high. He also has a horn that I somehow manage to hit every now and then, which tends to give the people around me quite a scare.

Alongside our renovation, we’re also building a beautiful showroom. The goal is to create the feeling of a welcoming stable, where you’ll be able to see and touch our products on different occasions.
All this building has led to sore muscles and a few headaches, as everything has been moved around several times — all while we’ve tried to keep serving our customers just as quickly and efficiently as usual. We hope we’ve managed fairly well. As soon as everything is finished, we’ll be delighted to show you Hyltarp Stable.

A welcome break from all the chaos was our lovely trip to Oslo and the World Cup premiere a few weeks ago — a weekend we truly enjoyed. We met so many friendly Norwegians who wanted to get to know us and our products. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the show jumping was thrilling. I love when you can sit down for lunch right next to the warm-up arena and really get close to the sport. It wasn’t like that in the past — no one was allowed anywhere near what happened outside the main arena.
It might have been a little too cold for a long lunch in Oslo, though, as the first chilly nights of the season had arrived and the big gate by the warm-up ring was open. But the cold turned out to be good for business — proving once again that every cloud has a silver lining.
