2026 kicked off with full energy, and I feel more energized than I have in a long time. Starting a new year always feels like writing on a completely blank page. First come the reflections on what you did in 2025, what felt right, and what you might rather forget. When a new chapter is written, you get the chance to improve, maybe change, and sometimes renew.
I’ve just finished a week of work in Kanpur in northern India. My goal was to adjust both my mindset and my way of working compared to my last visit (August 2025). This time, I wanted to slow down, give thoughts more time and space, be clear, and reduce misunderstandings. I also wanted to find a workflow that minimized delays and created a less stressful environment. Did I succeed? Maybe, maybe not – but the hope is there.
What I do know from my trip to Kanpur is that we have lots of new products to look forward to in 2026. Turning long-held ideas into reality together with input from many horse friends is incredibly fun. Discussing, sketching, taking part in production, and bringing samples home is one of the best parts of my job.
Standing in the stable, trying things on, adjusting, sketching, and seeing a new product come to life brings a feeling of satisfaction and pure joy. My lovely Greta often acts as our model. She has the patience of an angel and is perfect for testing blankets properly in the big paddock with her friend Rut.
So for Hyltarp, 2026 means improvements, changes, and renewal. And that feels really good.
